When can I use the Diagnostic Coverage?  If you are referred by your General Practitioner (GP) or Specialist Physician for a covered diagnostic examination/scan while insured under HealthSure, and it is confrmed that the diagnostic examination/scan cannot be provided within forty-five (45) consecutive days of the referral by the GP, the Policy will pay for the cost of the examination/scan through a facility approved by the HealthSure Claims Department.

Can I get my own diagnostic scan and then contact the Claims department and get reimbursed for it?  No, not unless you have received Pre-Authorization from the Claims Department first.

Where will my Diagnostic Examination take place? HealthSure Claims will make the first available appointment for a diagnostic scan at the geographical location closest to the Insured Person.

Are travel expenses paid? No.  The Claims Department will coordinate the diagnostic procedure and make any travel arrangements if necessary; however, travel expenses are not included under this benefit.

What is a coverage period?  A coverage period is defined as one Calendar Year from the Effective Date of an Insured Person’s HealthSure coverage.
